FAQ
What size should I order?
Fits vary by piece. Atlas Tee and Stamp Tee run true to size in a regular cut. Press Oversized is intentionally roomy, size down for a closer fit. Forge Hoodie is relaxed, true to size for layering. Each product page lists fit (regular, oversized, box, cropped, fitted) and GSM. If you are between sizes, size up for drape, down for shape.
How do the women's pieces fit?
Womens cuts are drafted on a separate block, not a unisex shrink. Base Tee is fitted at the waist. Verse Crop and Drift Crop sit at the natural waist with a clean hem. Yoke V has a soft hand-feel and a slightly tapered body. Sizes run XS to XL.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. UK orders move on a tracked 3 to 7 working day service. International orders take 5 to 14 working days depending on destination and customs. Free worldwide shipping on orders over £150. Full detail on the shipping page.
What's your return policy?
Fourteen days from delivery to start a return. Pieces must be unworn, unwashed, with all tags attached. Customer covers return postage unless the item is faulty or shipped in error. Refunds land within five working days of the studio receiving the return. Full detail on the returns page.
Can I order a custom piece?
Not at the moment. The studio runs to a drop schedule and one-offs disrupt the press queue. Collaborations and small commercial runs are considered case by case, write to hello@designbyarty.com with a brief.
How do I care for the print?
Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or line dry. Iron inside out only, never directly on the print. Avoid bleach and avoid the dryer on high. Treated this way, a piece holds its print through years of regular wear.
Are your garments sustainable?
The blanks are 100% combed cotton, sourced from a supplier with verified labour and environmental standards. Printing in-house cuts the freight and waste of third-party fulfilment. Drops are small by design, which means less unsold stock. The studio does not claim to be a sustainability brand, it claims to be a small one.
When is the next drop?
Drops land roughly every six to ten weeks. Newsletter subscribers get the date and the lookbook before the site goes live. Sold-out variants can be flagged with "notify me" and you will be emailed if a restock or a re-run happens.
Do you restock sold-out pieces?
Sometimes. Core blanks in core colours occasionally return. Graphic pieces are usually one drop only. If a piece matters to you, the safer move is to buy it during the drop window.
Is everything really printed in Watford?
Yes. The press lives in the studio. Leon prints, packs, and dispatches. Photography, web, and the occasional pair of hands on packing days are the only outside help.
Can I visit the studio?
The studio is a working space, not a shop. Press days, photography days, and packing days fill most of the week. If you are local and would like to see how a piece is made, write to hello@designbyarty.com and we will see what we can arrange.
What's your wholesale policy?
Limited. The studio takes on one or two stockists per region. Send a line sheet of your shop, your audience, and the brands you carry to hello@designbyarty.com.
